Do I have to be there?
No. Many people would rather not be, and that is completely understandable. We can work from keys and keep you updated by phone or email at whatever level of detail you want.
Can the property be saved?
Almost always, yes. Some materials cannot — flooring, underlay and occasionally plaster may need removing. We will tell you honestly what is affected and what it will take, before you commit to anything.
Will there be a lasting smell?
Not once the source is properly removed. Odour after this kind of work is a sign the contamination was cleaned around rather than taken out. We remove it, then treat the air.
How is this paid for?
Often through buildings or contents insurance, and sometimes from the estate. We provide full documentation and photographs either way so the claim or the accounts can be settled properly.
