We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your information, contact us at tangerineextremecleans@gmail.com or on 07747 466809.
Tangerine Extreme Cleans Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller. Our ICO registration number is ZC157723.
2. What information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect only what you give us:
- Quick quote form: your name, telephone number, email address, postcode and the service you are interested in.
- Contact form: your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, service required, property size, preferred dates and anything you write in the message box.
We also receive limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is recorded by our hosting provider in server logs and used for security and diagnostics.
We do not ask for special category data such as health information. Some of our services are needed in distressing circumstances — please share only what you are comfortable putting in writing, and tell us the rest by phone if you would prefer.
3. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation — because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To carry out work you book with us — because it is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep business, accounting and insurance records — because we have a legal obligation to do so.
- To keep our website secure — because we have a legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiries submitted through this website are delivered to us by email. We do not store form submissions in a database on the website itself.
We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them. Enquiries that do not lead to work are normally deleted within 24 months. Where we carry out work for you, we keep records for six years after the end of the relationship, which is the period we are required to retain accounting records and the period relevant to insurance and liability.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
We share information only where necessary with:
- our website hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions;
- our accountant, insurer or professional advisers, where required;
- regulators or law enforcement, where we are legally required to do so.
Where a job requires licensed waste disposal, the waste documentation records the property and the material removed. It does not include your contact details beyond what is legally required.
6. Cookies and third-party content
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, including for page caching and security.
Some pages include content served by third parties, which may set their own cookies when that content loads:
- Google Maps, used to show our service area.
- Google reviews, displayed through a reviews widget.
These are provided by Google, and their use of data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers or any profiling tools on this website.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may stop maps and reviews from displaying correctly.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where there is no continuing reason for us to keep it;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask us to transfer your information to another provider;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email tangerineextremecleans@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry emails is limited to Julia and anyone who needs it to carry out the work. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
