Almost every odour problem we are called to has been masked before. Air fresheners, scented plug-ins, a coat of paint over nicotine staining. It works for a fortnight and then the smell returns, because the source was never removed.
We start by finding and removing the cause — contaminated materials, saturated flooring or underlay, nicotine residue on every surface, damp behind a wall. Only once that is gone do we treat the air, using ozone or hydroxyl generators depending on the property and whether it needs to stay occupied.
Where something genuinely cannot be saved, we tell you. Cleaning a carpet that will always smell is not a service, it is a delay.

Can we stay in the property during treatment?
Not during ozone treatment — the property must be empty of people and pets, and ventilated afterwards. Hydroxyl treatment is slower but can run in occupied spaces. We will recommend whichever suits your situation.
How long does it take?
Removing the source is the bulk of the work — usually one to three days. Air treatment then runs for 24 to 72 hours depending on severity and the method used.
Will nicotine staining come off the ceilings?
Usually yes, with the right chemicals and enough passes. Where it has been there for decades and is into the plaster, we will tell you honestly that sealing and redecorating is the better route.
Is it guaranteed?
We guarantee the work we scope. What we will not do is promise a result on a property where the cause cannot be removed — if that is the situation, you will hear it from us before you spend anything.
